Escultura Sonora by Jorge Zeno

Esculturas Sonoras ("Sound Sculptures"), a collection that fuses painting, sculpture and music, plays with the frontiers between everyday life and art. Pictorial instruments that once were gas tanks, now communicate stories, myths and sonority. The technical and thematic variety of the visual language of several generations of painters have endowed each sculpture with a unique identity. Faced with our present problems, with the environmental crisis, unbridled consumerism and the policies of a neoliberal system that question the usefulness of art in modern life, these 17 sculptures propose new ways of thinking about a more sustainable future, of seeing the useful in the useless and to transform the disposable into art.
